Here we are. It’s the end of 2021. I hated 2019 as I watched my father wither away, 2020 was a dumpster fire in every way, 2021 had a hopeful beginning and still ended up being a disappointing year. What will 2022 be like? I’m not sure. But I know one thing – I’m going to be careful but do more things that I enjoy.
Bonnie had decreed it is her year of ME. Good for her. About time, I say. She lost her mother then her father and I’m pretty sure she was one of the first cases of COVID in her county. She was sick for months and is still dealing with residual impact and side effects even after vaccinations. She plans to do a lot of healing and try to make herself happy. I am all for it.
For me, 2022 will be a year of re discovering my talents. I hope to FINALLy publish my book in January, I will have TWO students to tutor in English with hopes of expanding a bit more, I am going to explore watercolors and continue to make cards and maybe sell them and I plan to learn how to play the ukulele on Youtube. Maybe along the way I may lose some weight.
For my husband, he is exploring branching out in his career. His current company is a good one but he needs to be challenged and things are getting too stagnant. I also feel that they have not done a good job of promoting or rewarding his hard work. So after 16+ years, he will first try to move internally and if that does not work he will see what other companies have to offer.
My oldest will be finishing her Sophomore year and entering into her junior year. She is beginning to find her niche and I see her having some sort of digital art career. She has retired from Girl Scouting and will continue being active in FIRST Robotics. She is starting to feel comfortable in her skin. Huzzah.
My youngest is becoming more and more like her father. When they GEEKTALK they sound like two aliens. They spend time coding together, setting up gaming servers, playing games, talking about all of those things and more. I am so glad my husband got his mini me – they need each other! LOL
I don’t know what 2022 has in store for all of us but I say take the bull by the horns and make it your best year yet! Happy New Year!
